Session two: Accreditation Standards and the accreditation process

Objectives:

  • To enable board members to familiarise themselves with the key components, processes and requirements of the Accreditation Standards and the accreditation processes
  • To assist board members to understand the relationship between their governance roles and responsibilities and their obligations and requirements contained in the Aged Care Act 1997, Accreditation Standards, and accreditation processes 
  • To provide board members with standards and accreditation tools that are practical and will assist them in their monitoring, reviewing, compliance and coverage roles and responsibilities
