Objectives:

To enable board members to familiarise themselves with the key components, processes and requirements of the Accreditation Standards and the accreditation processes

To assist board members to understand the relationship between their governance roles and responsibilities and their obligations and requirements contained in the Aged Care Act 1997, Accreditation Standards, and accreditation processes

To provide board members with standards and accreditation tools that are practical and will assist them in their monitoring, reviewing, compliance and coverage roles and responsibilities
