Demystifying dementia

This flexible learning package is designed to be delivered by a facilitator in-house. The aim of the course is to equip staff working in aged care homes and community services with the skills and knowledge needed to provide support for people with dementia in a range of service settings.

There are six modules that make up the package in addition to the introduction and overview. Each of the modules include corresponding presentations.

We encourage you to use the package to meet your staff learning and development needs. You may choose to deliver the entire course, a selection of modules or choose certain learning or workplace learning activities to reinforce learning or workplace practice. You will find more information about how you can use the package in the overview and introduction Facilitator guide. We recommend that you read the introduction and overview first even if you are only planning to deliver a single module from the course.

The Facilitator guides contain instructions for delivering the package, and the Participant guides contain information, activities and case studies for discussion.

You can click on the chapters below to open the Facilitator guides, Participant guides and Presentations.
