Better Practice Sydney

This Better Practice conference includes high profile presenters such as Ita Buttrose AO, OBE; leading academics Professor Rhonda Nay, Associate Professor Rosalie Hudson and Dr Deirdre Fetherstonhaugh and industry leaders including Masonic Homes CEO Doug Strain.

Better Practice underpins our commitment to promoting high quality care and topics include underpinning philosophies of care, decision-making for end of life care and palliative care, improving mental health in residents, innovative approaches to dementia and improving the physical health of residents.

This year we are also continuing to promote evidence-based practice. The conference will feature speakers who have been involved in Encouraging Best Practice in Aged Care (EBPAC) projects who can share their experience of implementing best practice guidelines.

Accommodation
Special accommodation rates have been negotiated for delegates at the Novotel Sydney Olympic Park. The standard room rate is $230.00 per room per night including a full buffet breakfast for one guest in the hotel restaurant.

Parking
All carparking is subject to a fee, starting at $25 per night. Parking in the undercover car park is strictly limited and cannot be guaranteed. Public outdoor parking is also available within the Olympic Park precinct.

Meals
We recognise that delegates may have special dietary needs. Please advise either via the registration form or in writing if you would like us to make alternative arrangements on your behalf.

Please Note: Dietary requirements received less than 72 hours prior to the conference cannot be guaranteed. Kosher meals may be available, however please note this may be at an additional cost.

The Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Ltd does not accept responsibility for personal accidents, injuries, theft and/or damage to the property of participants. Travel insurance is recommended for travel within Australia.

Registration desk details
Registration for the conference will be available in the Ballroom Foyer from 8am each day.

Separate registrations
Each person must be separately registered for one or both days, no shared registrations are permitted.
