The focus for 2010 Better Practice conferences in aged care equips leaders and senior staff with information about the changes occurring in aged care and the influences of broader social, economic and environmental impacts. Sessions and workshops are focused on providing practical information on improvement initiatives for residential aged care homes to adopt and adapt to achieve high quality care for residents. The Hilton Hotel Brisbane is located between Elizabeth Street and the Queen Street Mall in the heart of Brisbane's central business, shopping and entertainment district. The South Bank Parklands, the Botanical Gardens and the Performing Arts Complex are all a short walk from the hotel.
Accommodation
Special accommodation rates have been negotiated for delegates at the Hilton Brisbane. The standard room rate is $265.00 per room per night including breakfast for one guest in the hotel restaurant. Participants should book accommodation directly with the hotel by phoning 07 3234 2000 and quoting ‘Better Practice 2010’ as the booking reference.

Parking
Valet parking facilities are available at the hotel for $46 per 24 hour period. Adjoining the Hilton Brisbane and with direct access is the Winter Garden Shopping Centre car park. Rates are $46.00 for 4hrs plus however an Monday – Friday early bird rate of $20.00 is available for entry between 4.00am-9.30am and exit between 3.30pm-12.00am only.
If you are catching public transport, Central train station is an approximate 10-minute walk away and city buses stop directly at the front of the hotel entrance.

Meals
The events organisers recognise that some delegates may have special dietary needs. Please advise either via the registration form or in writing if you would like us to make alternative arrangements on your behalf.
Please Note: Dietary requirements received less than 72 hours prior to the event cannot be guaranteed. Kosher meals may be available, however please note this may be at an additional cost.

The Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Ltd does not accept responsibility for personal accidents, injuries, theft and/or damage to the property of participants. Travel insurance is recommended for travel within Australia.
Registration desk details
Registration for the event will be available in the Ballroom foyer from 8am each day.
Separate registrations
Each person must be separately registered for one or both days, no shared registrations are permitted.
