How to apply for a permanent position as an aged care quality assessor

Our recruitment process for employment of permanent or term defined assessor positions is run parallel with the steps required for becoming a registered Aged Care Quality Assessor, as outlined in the Aged care quality assessor registration requirements.  The recruitment process is outlined below.

Completing your application for employment

There are four steps to completing your application.

1. Covering letter
A brief covering letter outlining your current employment, contact details and relevant information relating to your application.

2. Resume
A brief resume detailing relevant and recent work experience.

3. Completing the Application for employment as a quality assessor
You should address the key components of the position in the Application for employment as a quality assessor, as outlined below.  Ensure you outline your relevant work related practices and how they align with the required criteria.

  • At least four years full-time (or equivalent) work experience in a professional or management position; OR
  • Be a Registered Nurse and have a minimum of two years relevant experience; and
  • Current drivers licence.

4. Send in your Application for employment as a quality assessor
Send your covering letter, resume and completed Application for employment as a quality assessor to careers@accreditation.org.au.

Steps after application

1. If you meet the criteria, we will contact you attend an Aged care industry panel interview.

You will need to bring originals or certified copies of qualifications, certifications and drivers licence at interview. 

2. If you are selected, you will attend an Aged Care Quality Assessment course (arranged and paid for by the Agency) and an Orientation program.

3. We aim to have your registration completed within one month of commencing.
