June 2013 ADP workshop:
Understanding resident experience– a focus on residents with high care needs, cognitive and/or communication difficulties.
This half-day workshop will focus on gathering information from a wide range of residents. The learning outcomes are that by the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
1. identify and utilise skill, knowledge and behaviour to gather information from a broad range of residents including those with high care needs and cognitive/communication disability
2. demonstrate improved communication skills for interviewing residents living with dementia
3. promote a consistently positive attitude to people living with cognitive disability.

Our workshop program for 2012 is complete. New dates and topics for 2013 will be available shortly.
If you missed a workshop in 2012 there are self-directed learning packages on ADP online for each of the 2012 ADP workshops. Completion of these packages can contribute towards your annual PD requirements for re-registration as an assessor. Topics are:

- June 2012: Resident choice, support and safety and on-site relationships
